About Matt TewsMatt Tews has created an impressive and unique string of internet successes. By combining years of direct marketing, sales and project management experience with an insatiable passion for computing and the internet he has assembled an impressive personal toolbox of internet business knowledge and technical skills. Through his company, Tews Interactive, he specializes in delivering complete online business solutions – not pie-in-the-sky plans, not overly-expensive or overly-complicated technical implementations. His ability to analyze, summarize and communicate sometimes-complex technical ideas is an asset to clients and colleagues. For the past seven years, Matt served as marketing technologies manager and eMedia product manager for Minneapolis-based operations of VNU, Inc., international publishing giant. He was responsible for budgeting, designing, building, launching, promoting and maintaining many high-profile publication web sites. He also managed the location’s electronic products and digital assets. Early on, he was a primary force in bringing traditional published products online – and later was equally effective in transitioning independent sites into a corporate high-end content management system. Prior to VNU Matt developed and sold a full range of database-driven marketing programs for Intelligent Marketing Systems. Prior to that he provided sales and product management services to Nordic Track, Inc. His marketing programs included use of infomercials, direct mail, catalogs, telemarketing, and retail distribution. Matt Tews says: “My experience in direct marketing
and sales – prior to work in computers, the internet and websites
– has given me knowledge and a focus that your everyday techie does not
bring to the table. When I work with publishers I apply a full
understanding of the disciplines of publishing. I know what works and
doesn’t work in publishing web sites. I know what is important to
publishers in communicating with readers and advertisers – in soliciting
subscriptions or qualification cards, discussing editorial issues, selling
products allied to the publication, in cooperative marketing with
advertisers, and much more. The most important thing is that I am
passionate about applying my skills in publishing. I am dedicated to
solving your problems and enhancing your opportunities.” |
