About Bill Dorn Bill Dorn founded Publishing Advisers International in 1987 and is CEO. He has spent more than 40 years in publishing, Much of that time he headed up Dorn Communications, Inc. of Minneapolis, which he founded and built to a company with five divisions employing 150 professionals. Divisions were Owned Magazines, Custom Publishing, Public Relations, Video Production, and Book Publishing. Among owned publications were Corporate Report Minnesota, Corporate Report Kansas City, The Fact Book, Minnesota Business Journal, Twin Cities, and U.S. Art. Prior to Dorn Communications, he spent nine years with The Miller Publishing Company of Minneapolis, a business-to-business publisher, beginning as a staff writer, then editor, publisher, and director of development. In development he launched and acquired print and non-print properties. He began his career as a reporter, then city editor of a medium-sized daily newspaper. Bill Dorn consults on all aspects of publishing, working with corporate and publication management and all operating functions including financial, editorial and art, advertising, production and circulation. He works with publication launches, positioning and re-positioning, branding, research and promotion. He serves as an intermediary in sales and acquisition transactions and assists publishers in obtaining capital investments for purposes of growth. He has been a speaker at publishing industry meetings. Bill Dorn was one of six founders of the Association of Area Business Publications in the late 1970s. Bill Dorn says:
